“The best thing about my job is its variation. Our department is the ‘oracle’ of our organization. What I really like is that every idea is possible – the organization is open to personal initiative. The lines are short, so you have to be able to respond ad hoc. Flexibility is a must. There is much collegiality. At least five people travel an hour and a half to and fro to work here. That in itself explains a lot about the culture and atmosphere within the DGS Group, doesn’t it?

“Soon I can celebrate my tenth anniversary here in this company. I started as an assisting foreman, but thanks to my ambition and the possibilities to grow, I was able to follow further training courses and become production leader. We work here with new machines, fresh raw materials and we make a good product of high quality of which I am proud. But the best thing I like here is that nobody is a number – production or office, everybody here is simply equal.”

“At DGS I learned how the food-industry works. In the past five years I have seen so many different situations that I have become quite experienced. So much so, that I am developing quality training workshops within the DGS Group. The best thing about my job is when the plans and decisions of the quality department get implemented. At the DGS Group quality is a top-priority, so as a quality manager you get a lot of support from the management. Sometimes it is hard for a quality manager to deal with the flexibility of the company, but we always find a practical solution without harming the quality.”
